Literal Equation | An equation that is given verbally as a sentence without defined variables |
Average Rate of Change | Slope |
Y-Intercept | Point where the graph touches the y-axis |
X-Intercept | Point where the graph touches the x-axis |
Increasing | Positive slope |
Decreasing | Negative slope |
Distance Traveled | The sum of the forward distance and the backwards distance (think of an odometer on a car). |
