Section 5.3- Circles

QuestionAnswer
What is a circle? the set of all points equidistant from a given point.
What is the center of a circle? the original point (in the middle)
What is the radius of a circle? the distance from the center to the outside of the circle.
What is the diameter of the circle? The distance from one side to the other, passing through the center.
What is the formula of the diameter? 2 times the radius
What is the circumference? (perimeter) distance around the outside
What is pie? 3.14 or 22/7
What is the formula for the Circumference? C = pi times d
What is the formula for the area? A = pi x r(squared)
