How does Doon feel about his job in the Pipeworks Laborer? Is there a difference in his feelings from when he changed jobs with Lina? Explain. Doon does not like his job because he can;t figure out a generator. Yes, there is a difference in his feelings from when he changed jobs with Lina because now that he can't figure out the generator he doesn't want to be in the pipeworks laborer anymore.
What does Lina think about the "Instructions" that she found? Lina found out that the "Instructions" has something to do with: The river, a door, and the Pipeworks Laborer.
How is Lina going to figure out the "Instructions"? Lina knows that Doon works in the Pipeworks Laborer so she is going to ask Doon.
What is the new job in Ember? Why did they assign this new job? The new job in Ember is the trash sifters. They assigned this job because little kids used to play in the trash sifters but they don't want that to happen anymore.
What is Ember trying to invent? Why? Ember is trying to invent a movable light because they want to go into the unknown regions.
Why is Ember running out of all of its lights? Ember is running out of all its lights because the "Instructions" was not passed down farther than the 7th mayor.
What is happening to Ember and why is everyone worrying? In Ember all of the lights are running out and there was a horrible blackout and after the mayor was saying that they are figuring out solutions everyone started worrying and getting scared.
Why did Lina want colored pencils? Lina wanted colored pencils because she loved the vibrant colors and wanted to draw what she imagined of the unknown regions.
How come they don't give tours of the storage rooms anymore? They don't give tours of the storage rooms anymore because some things are top secret and they don't want to show how less of things Ember has and get everyone worrid.
