what is the main processor in a computer called central processing unit (CPU)
memory an area of a computer that temporarily holds data waiting to be processed, stored or output.
what is storage? the area of a computer that holds data on a permanent basis when it is not immediately needed for processing.

storage medium could be hard disk, cd,dvd, or flash drive.

the term form factor is general refers to the physical attributes, such as size and dimensions and intended use of a component.
what is a server refer to computer hardware, to a specific type of software or to a combination of hardware and software.
the term computer system means usually refers to a computer and all of the inputs, outputs, and storage devices that are connected to it.
Platform is called consists of the underlying hardware and software of the computer system.

storage device is equipment that stores and retrieves data from its storage medium.
RAM is temporary holding area for work and programs called random access memory
drive bays is also called parking spaces
storage capacity is the maximum amount of data that can be stored on a storage medium, measured in kilobytes, megabytes,gigabytes, terabytes
optical storage is stores data as microscopic light and dark spots on the disc surface.
solid-state storage is technology stores data in a nonvolatile, erasable, low-power chip.
CD is compact discs
DVD means digital video disc or versatile disc.
CD-rom can not have data put on them.
