Lunar eclipse when the moon passes through the earths shadow
crater the depression at hthe summit of a valcano
Terrestrial planet any of the like earth planets including mars, venus and mercury
Jovian planet a cloud of dust or dirt in space
Planetesimal small, irregulary shaped body formed by colliding matter
Asteroid a small rocky body that can vary in sizes
comet a small body mad by rock and matallic pieces
coma the fuzzy, gaseous component of a comets head
Meteoroid a small solid particle that travels through space
meteor when it enters the earths atmoshere it is commanly called a shooting star
meteorite any portion of a metoroid that reaches earths surface
Electromagnetic spectrum the arrangment of electromagnetic radiation according to the wave length
Photon a small packet of light energy
spectroscopy the study of the properties of light that depend on the wavlength
Doppler Effect the apparent change in frequency of the electromagnetic or sound waves
Refracting telescope a telescope that uses lens to bend bend and concentrate the light from distant objects
Reflecting telescope a telescope that concentrates light from distant objects
radio telescope a telescope designed to make observations in radio wavekeghts
hubble telescope use multiple far objects to use light
space shuttle a vechicle that alows you to travel to space
