Renewable | any naturally occurring, theoretically inexhaustible source of energy that is not derived from fossil or nuclear fuel. |

Nonrenewable | A resource of economic value that cannot be readily replaced by natural |
fossil fuel | any combustible organic material, as oil, coal, or natural gas, derived from the remains of former life. |
Natural Gas | a combustible mixture of gaseous hydrocarbons that accumulates in porous sedimentary rocks. |
Conservation | official supervision of rivers, forests, and other natural resources in order to preserve and protect them through prudent management. |
Pollution | the introduction of harmful substances or products into the environment. |

Air Pollution | any substance, as certain chemicals or waste products, that renders the air. |
Water Pollution | the introduction of harmful substances or products into the enviorment water |
Contour Plowing | the farming practice of plowing and/or planting across a slope following its elevation contour lines. |
Windbreaks | a growth of trees, a structure of boards, or the like, serving as a shelter from the wind. |
Conservation Plowing | is a method of planting and harvesting crops where stalks and other residue from the previous year are left on the ground into the next season. |
Crop Rotation | the system of varying successive crops in a definite order on the same ground, especially to avoid depleting the soil and to control weeds, diseases, and pests. |
Fallow | land that has undergone plowing and harrowing and has been left unseeded for one or more growing seasons. |
