Structure of the Universe

Solar System all large and small objects that circle the sun
Planet large spherical body that obits the sun
Star a large celestial body that is emits light and is composed mostly of hydrogen and helium
Galaxy large collection of stars, gas, and dust that is held together by gravity
Light Year the distance that light travels through space in one years time
Universe space and all the matter and energy in it
Clusters densely concentrated galaxies that can contain thousands of galaxies
Apparent Magnitude measure of a star's brightness as seen from Earth
Absolute Magnitude measure of how bright a star would be if it were located at a standard distance.
Luminosity the actual true brightness of a star which depends on the star's temperature and size, not distance from Earth
Blue Star has the highest surface temperatures, above 25,000 degrees Celcius
Red Star has the lowest surface temperatures, below 3,500 degrees Celcius
White Dwarfs very small stars which are about the size of Earth
Giant Stars between 10 and 100 times the radius of the sun
Stellar anything related to stars
Nuclear Fusion happens because of the temperature and pressure in a star, nuclei of atoms combine to form one larger nucleus
