metamorphosis a change in the form of a living thing as it goes through its life cycle

vertebrate an animal with a backbone (includes fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals)
photosynthesis the process by which plants make their own food using the sun
Secchi disk (seck-ee) a black and white disk that is lowered into water until it disappears from sight
