| Term | Definition |

| Tropical Rainforest | Near the equator (warm); large amounts of rainfall; large population of plant growth; most species of all biomes. (example kinkajou- long tongue and tail.) |
| Deciduous Forest | Forest- cooler places; small amounts of rain fall; eastern part of US. Trees lose leaves in colder months (maple, elm) which helps trees save food and water during winter months; |
