Terms to know for organizing and finding books in the library

QuestionAnswer
What is a call number (call #) The address of a book in the library.
E is the first part of call # for which type of book - easy picture book,fiction chapter book or non-fiction? E is fist part of call # for an easy picture book. Remember E is for Easy.
F or FIC is the first part of call # for which type of book - easy picture book,fiction chapter book or non-fiction? F is first part of call # for a fiction chapter book. Remember F is for Fiction.
How is the Dewey Decimal System used in the library? Used to organize non-fiction books by subject.
How are fiction books arranged (both picture books and chapters books)? by author
How are non-fiction books arranged? by subject
What Dewey Decimal System category includes poetry? Literature
What Dewey Decimal System category includes biographies? History and geography
