What is ironic about how Caesar says right before his murder? ("Wilt thou lift up Olympus?") They kill Caesar a couple moments there, when he says his quote.
In the moments following Caesar's death, what do the Conspirators, Cassius and Cinna proclaim to justify their deed? "Liberty! Freedom! Tyranny is dead!"
Antony's servant brings a message to Brutus. What does he say? He respects Brutus, but also respects and loves Caesar, but wants to know why he killed Caesar.
Antony wants to speak at Caesar's funeral. What reaction does Brutus Have? Cassius? Brutus is okay with it, and Cassius says no, because he thinks its to dangerous.
Under what conditions does Brutus say Antony will speak at the funeral? He will be allowed to speak, if he doesn't blame the Conspirators.
What did Brutus say to the people at the funeral? He said he loved Caesar, but loved Rome more.
What did Antony say to the people at the funeral in his now famous "Friends, Romans, Countryman, lend me your ears" speech? He points out: 1. Caesar said no to the crown 3 times. 2. Brings home captives. 3. Caesar is sympathetic to the poor.
Why did Brutus and Cassius flee Rome? They heard about the mood of the people, and that's why they left.
What is the Point of Act III, Scene III? The point is unreasonable, they are angry, and out for blood.
