3-D Geometry

Volume The number of cubic units needed to fill a solid figure
Vertex The point of intersection of two sides of a polygon.
Prism A polyhedron with two congruent and parallel polygon-shaped faces.
Net A plane figure pattern which, when folded, makes a solid.
Cylinder A three-dimensional figure that has two circular bases, which are parallel and congruent.
Sphere A three-dimensional figure such that every point is the same distance form the center.
Cone A three-dimensional figure that has one circular base. The points on this circle are joined to one point outside the base.
Edge The line segment where two faces of a polyhedron meet.
Face A flat surface of a polyhedron.
Cubic Unit A unit measuring volume, consisting of a cube with edges one unit long.
