Influences on consumer choice

During the war women started wearing trousers - they started doing work that men had previously done, and because of clothes rationing they started wearing thier husbands' trouser
What happened after the war once rationing had finished. Christian Dior was famous for the 'New Look'. These dresses had very full '50's' skirts and tiny waists. They used lots of fabric - almost as if this was a reaction to so many years of not being able to wear clothes like this.

How has recession influenced what people buy? Recession has a big influence on the spending habits of people. They often have less disposable income and so they tend to buy things like essentials when it comes to clothing . Some people will buy cheaper products to reduce costs. Others will buy
