Alert!! Liver failure: jaundice, prurutis, URQ tenderness them on flulike syndrome). Monitor BP and Pulse. Drug can be stopped without tapering. Caution operating vehicles Atomoxetine hydrochloride (Strattera)
Headache, anxiety, feeling jittery. Tachycardia. Blurred vision. Anorexia, abdominal pain, nausea Dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride (Focalin also a ER)

Nursing considerations. PT HX, family HX for mental disorders, suicide, ventricular arrhythmias or sudden-death. Take before 6 PM D/T insomnia. Do not crush. Take drugs same time every day!!! CBC, diff and platelet count. Growth or weight gain. BP pulse Dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride (Focalin also a ER)
Amphetamine. Misuse can lead to serious effects including death Dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride (Focalin also a ER)
Insomnia, nervousness, restlessness, dizzy, overstimulation. Tachycardia, palpitations, arrhythmias, HTN. Dry mouth, taste perversion, D, weight loss, impotence Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine, Dexedrine Spansule, DextroStat)

Nursing considerations. PT HX, family HX for mental disorders, suicide, ventricular arrhythmias or sudden-death. Give at least six hours before HS. Can cause dependents/abuse!!!! Give lowest AMT to reduce risk of overdose Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine, Dexedrine Spansule, DextroStat)
Alert!!! Misuse can lead to cardiovascular adversity vents, including sudden-death. Avoid activities requiring alertness. Make it tired is drug effects wear off. Report S&S of excessive stimulation. Nervousness, headache, insomnia, HTN, hypotension. Tachycardia, bradycardia. Thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopenic purpura, leukopenia. Exfoliative dermatitis, erythema multiforme Methylenidate hydrochloride (Concerta, Metadate [ER/CD], Methylin, Ritalin [LA/SR], methylphenidate transdermal [Daytrana])
take 6 hours before HS and after meals to reduce appetite suppressant. Drug can trigger Tourette syndrome. Take chewable tablet w/at least 8 oz of water (Insufficient H2O cause tablet to swell and blocking throat >>>choking) Methylenidate hydrochloride (Concerta, Metadate [ER/CD], Methylin, Ritalin [LA/SR], methylphenidate transdermal [Daytrana])
Check CBC, diff and platelets W/long-term. Hemotolic toxicity syndrome (Fever, sore throat, easy bruising). Monitor height and weight W/long-term and for tolerance or dependence. Methylenidate hydrochloride (Concerta, Metadate [ER/CD], Methylin, Ritalin [LA/SR], methylphenidate transdermal [Daytrana])
Overstimulation, restless, dizzy, insomnia. Palpitations, tachycardia, HTN. Dry mouth, unpleasant taste, N, C, anorexia, weight loss. Impotence Mixed amphetamine salts (dextroamphetamine and amphetamine; Adderall [XL])

Misuse of amphetamines can cause cardiovascular adverse events including sudden-death. Avoid activities requiring alertness. Report S&S of excessive stimulation.
