QuestionAnswer
Photosynthesis: its a process in which plants get their energy.
Respiration: is the process through which energy stored in organic molecules is released to do metabolic work.
Chloroplast: photosynthesis happens in the chloroplast which energy and and materials are need.
Palisade cell: tightly packed together, contains chloroplast, the cells which do the most photosynthesis because they get the most light.
Transpiration: is a important process as it cools pulls water up and keeps supply of water
Xylem vessels: The cell the carry water from the roots to the leaves by the steam.
Phloem vessels: carries food to where it is needed
Stomata: special holes that let gases in or out.
Starch: is what gives the plant its energy
Iodine: is what you use to test strach.
Glucose: is a sugar and is a energy for the plant
Carbon dioxide: is a gas that the plants collect.
Oxygen: is what the plant gives out from the stomata.
Cutical waxy, water proof and protects from dehydration and sun burn.
Epidermis a layer of cell, gives shape and support, acts as skin, barrier to keep things in and out.
spongy mesophyll many gaps between cells so that gases can diffuse around.
Guard cell they control the size of the stoma, mostly they are on the lower epidermis away from the hot sun light.
Vein group of cells that carry materials.
