The ozone layer is not happy Níl an ciseal ózóin sásta
It is in danger Tá sé i mbaol
Humanity are doing damage to the ozone layer Tá an cine daonna ag déanamh damáiste don ciseal ózóin
The ozone layer has a job to do Tá post ag an gceiseal ózóin le déanamh
It gives us protection from the sun and other harmful substances Tugann sé cosaint dúinn ón ngrian agus nithe gránna eile
It is very important to us Tá sé an-tábhachtach dúinn
We depend on the ozone layer Táimid ag brath ar an gciseal ózóin
But it depends on us too Ach, tá sé ag brath orainn freisin
In the poem the ozone layer gives us advice Sa dán, tugann an ciseal ózóin comhairle dúinn
If we take its advice we will survive Má ghlacaimid a chomhairle, mairfimid
The environment depends on us Braitheann an t-imshaol orainn
Nature is the biggest theme in this poem Is é dúlra an téama is mó sa dán seo
Anger is the strongest emotion in this poem Is é fearg an mothúchán is láidre sa dán seo
The ozone layer is angry because of the human race Tá an ciseal ózóin feargach mar gheall ar an gcine daonna
The human race are careless with the environment Tá an cine daonna míchúramach leis an imshaol
The environment is in danger Tá an t-imshaol i mbaol
If we do not listen, we won't survive Mura éistimid, ní mhairfimid
If we listen we will survive má éistimid, mairfimid
