Math

Math words to help understand what they are.

TermDefinition
Vertex The interesting point of three or more edges on a 3D object.
Hypotenuse The distance that is longest of the 3 sides on a right triangle.
Circle Graph A graph used to compare percentages of something displayed as a graph for representation.
Venn Diagram A thing built of circles that show the differences and similarities of things.
Triangulating The process of dividing a shape with more than 3 sides into triangles.
Inrational Numbers Numbers that continuous and never end such as Pi... 3.14159265.
Box and Whiskers A graph that shows the median for numbers and can compare rates and show the highs and lows of things.
Surface Area The area of each face or curved surface of the object equaling the area of the surface.
Formula The numbers and signs that show you what you must do to get what ever you are looking for like xXx+yXa+b.
Base The face that the 3D object is placed down on.
