Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi Tang - ing & action Liu Jun Zi tang + xiang fu & sha ren. Strengthen SP/ST; regulate Qi & relieve pain . Treats SP Qi Xu w/ cold damp retention in MJ.(pain is a key symptom.)
What is difference between xiang fu & mu xiang? Xiang fu => LR, moves qi to relieve pain Mu xiang => SP/ST
Shen Ling Bai Zhu San (ginseng poria & atractylodes macrocephala powder) - ind 1. SP/ST Qi Xu w/ damp (diarrhea).2. LU and Sp Qi Xu w/ damp (Chronic cough w/ sputum). Tonify mother to generate son .

Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (tonify the middle & augment the qi decoction) - ind 1. Fever d/t SP Qi deficiency - fever is worse w/exertion, spontaneous sweating, SOB, loose stools, swollen tongue, big forceless pulse 2. MJ Qi Sunken
Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang - chief & functions Huang qi - high dose 18g > raise Qi, tonify MJ, tonify LU & Wei qi to stop sweating
Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang - ing Huang qi(c), ren shen, bai zhu, zhi gan cao, dang gui, sheng mai, chai hu
Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang - action Tonify MJ Qi & Raise sinking Yang Qi
Sheng Mai San (generate the pulse powder) - chief & function Ren shen > tonify yuan & LU qi; generate fluids. If Qi Xu not very severe, substitute w/dan shen. If more Yin Xu > use xi yang shen

Si Wu Tang (4-substance decoction) - ing & their functions Shu di huang(c) nourishes yin, tonifies blood. Dang gui tonifies & invigs blood. Bai shao tonifies blood & preserve yin. Chuan xiong invigs blood and Qi.
Tao Hong Si Wu Tang (4-substance decoction w/safflower & peach pit)- ing Si Wu Tang + Tao ren & Hong hua (associated formula of Si Wu tang)
Tao Hong Si Wu Tang (4-substance decoction w/safflower & peach pit) - ind Blood deficiency & blood stagnation. Do NOT use during menstruation > too moving.
Sheng Yu Tang (sage-like healing decoction) ing Si Wu Tang + ren shen & huang qi (AF of Si Wu Tang)
Sheng Yu Tang (sage-like healing decoction) ind & action Qi and Blood Xu not holding blood. Treat menses w/profuse bleeding. Tonifies qi & blood, grasps blood.
Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang (tangkuei decoction to tonify the blood) - indication Fever d/t Blood Deficiency
Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang (tangkuei decoction to tonify the blood) - ing & functions Huang qi(C) and Dang Gui. Huang Qi tonifies SP/LU Qi to generate blood. Dang Gui tonifies blood & HZ ying.
Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang - ratio of Huang Qi to Dang Gui 5:1 -fever d/t blood deficiency. 2:1 Tonify qi to generate blood.
Ba Zhen Tang (8-treasure decoction)- action Basic formula to Tonify Qi & Blood
Ba Zhen Tang (8-treasure decoction) ing Si Wu Tang + Si Jun Zi Tang: Ren shen & Shu di = chiefs, bai zhu, fu ling, dang gui, bai shao, chaun xiong, zhi gan cao
What is Shi Quan Da Bu Yang? AF to Ba Zhen Tang. Stronger to tonify Qi and Blood than Ba Zhen Tang.

Gui Pi Tang (restore the SP decoction) - ind 1. SP Qi & HT blood deficiency 2.SP not controlling blood
Gui Pi Tang - chiefs Ren shen & Long yan rou (or Huang Qi)

What herbs are used for calming the fetus in Tai Shan Pan Shi San and their functions? Xu duan > tonify KI & calm fetus. Huang qin >clear heat & calm fetus. Bai zhu > tonify SP & calm fetus.
What are the functions of sheng ma & chai hu in Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang? Sheng ma raises yangming qi. Chai hu raises shaoyang Qing Qi.
