Respect showing regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others
Uniqueness a person’s expression of individuality
Personal Relationships the connection you have with those close to you
Individuality the quality or character of a particular person or thing that distinguishes them from others
Criticism the expression of disapproval of someone or something based on perceived faults or mistakes
Friendship special type of relationship between people who enjoy being together
Adult Mentors trusted adults such as parents, guardians, other relatives, ministers, or youth leaders
Role Model a person whose success or behavior serves as a good example for others
Peer Pressure the influence that people your age may have on you
Bullying Bullying is repeated exposure, over time, to negative actions from one or more other students. Negative actions can include physical, verbal or indirect actions that are intended to inflect injury or discomfort upon another.
Violence The use of physical force to harm someone or something
Mediation a process in which a trusted person helps to settle a conflict
Mediator a person who helps two sides solve a problem reasonably
Compromise Each side gives up something to reach an agreeable solution
Negotiation the process of talking about a conflict and deciding how to reach a compromise
Conflict disagreement between two or more people
Respect having high regard for others
Refusal Skills ways of saying “No!”
Assertive Behavior making your wants and needs known in a positive, active manner
Aggressive inclined to act in a hostile manner
Passive accepting without objection or resistance
