disaster n. Something that causes great damage or harm.

immense adj. Great in size or extent. Great in degree.
intense adj. Very strong; very great. Showing great depth of feeling.
investigate v. To look into closely; to study in great detail.
lurch v. To move forward or to one side suddenly and unexpectedly.
major adj. Great in size, number, or importance. n. A military officer just above a captain in rank. The main subject a student is studying. v. To study as one's most important subject.
minor adj. Small; unimportant. n. A person who is not yet an adult; a child.
petrify v. To make rigid with terror; to terrify. To change into a stone like substance.
predict v. To say what will happen before it takes place.
prone adj. Likely to have or do. Lying face downward.
sparse adj. Thinly grown or spread. Not crowded.
topple v. To fall or push over. To overthrow.
urban adj. Having to do with cities.
