How did the Japanese use their surroundings (land and seas) to survive and prosper? There was not a lot of farmland, so it had to be intensely farmed. The Japanese had to rely heavily on the seas for food.
Do you think it was important for samurai warriors to honor and obey their leaders? Be sure to explain why this should or why this should not be the case. The feudal system depended on the loyalty of the samurai to control people and land. While this did result in 250 of stability in Japan, samurai could be asked to commit suicide. The peasants could also be treated very cruelly.
