nationality nationality is a relationship between a person and their state of origin, culture, association, affiliation, and or loyalty nationality affords the state jurisdiction over the person and affords the person the protection of the state
acculturation the adoption by an ethnic group of enough of the ways of the host society to be able to function economically and socially
assimilation the complete blending of an ethnic group into the host society, resulting in theloss of all distinctive ethnic traits
