Probability of Compound Events
Term | Definition |

Independent Events | Two events are said to be independent if the result of the second event is not affected by the result of the first event |
Dependent Events | Two events are said to be dependent when the probability of one event occurring influences the likelihood of the other event |
Compound Events | Involving two or more simple events |
Table | Arrangement to organize data in columns and rows |
Sum | The result of adding two or more numbers |
Product | The result of multiplying two or more numbers |
Organized List | An orderly arrangement of numeric or descriptive data used to solve a problem |
Tree Diagram | A branching diagram that shows all possible combinations or outcomes of an event |
Simulation | A method of solving a problem by carrying out an experiment that is similar to the problem needed to be solved |
