Artery Blood Vessels that carries oxygenated blood away from the heart to various body structures
Pneumothorax Collection of air into the chest cavity
Lobectomy Surgical excision of a lobe of the lung
Hemostasis Control of bleeding
Hemothorax Presence of blood in the pleural space
Pericarditis Inflammation of the pericardium
Cardiologist A physician who specialized in diseases of the heart
Pericardium A two layer sack around the heart that between the layers has fluid to lubricate the surface of the heart to allow movement
Cardiopulmonary Pertaining to the heart and lungs
Lymphoma Any neoplastic disease of lymphoid tissue
Rhinorrhea Discharge from the nose
Tachypnea Fast Breathing
Hemostasis Control of bleeding
Bradycardia Slow heartbeat
Thrombus Blood clot that forms within a blood vessel
Myocardium The main muscle of the heart
Carditis Inflammation of the heart
Embolism Blood Clot that travels through the blood vessel
