10. The part of the crust where we live is the continental crust
The part of the crust at the bottom of the ocean is the oceanic crust
Continents drifting apart is called continental drift
What is probably the force that moves continents? convection currents in the mantle
When two tectonic plates move toward one another convergent boundaries
A crack in the earth’s crust is called a fault
A mountain formed from lava and rocks is called a volcano
When magma reaches the earth’s surface, we call it lava
Rocks formed from melted magma or lava are called igneous
When little particles of weathered rocks stick together to make a bigger rock it is called sedimentary
Rocks changed by heat and pressure under the earth’s surface are called metamorphic
