TermDefinition
Wavelength the distance between successive crests of a wave, especially points in a sound wave or electromagnetic wave.
Electromagnetic Spectrum the range of wavelengths or frequencies over which electromagnetic radiation extends.
Spectrum a band of colors, as seen in a rainbow, produced by separation of the components of light by their different degrees of refraction according to wavelength.
Probe a blunt-ended surgical instrument used for exploring a wound or part of the body.
Artificial Satellite an artificial body placed in orbit around the earth or moon or another planet in order to collect information or for communication.
NASA The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is the United States government agency responsible for the civilian space program as well as aeronautics and aerospace research.
Launch send (a missile, satellite, or spacecraft) on its course or into orbit.
Spinoff a byproduct or incidental result of a larger project.
Frequency the rate at which something occurs or is repeated over a particular period of time or in a given sample.
Energy the strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity.
