Flight Manual Cabri

As the stack name implies

QuestionAnswer
State the procedure for Tail Rotor failure IGE Land immediately, reduce throttle and cushion landing
Tail Rotor Failure in flight Governor off, 70-80 kts, find suitable landing location, autorotate running landing.
Rotor diameter? 7,20 m
Nose to tail distance? 6,31 m
Heigt helicopter? 2,5 m
Skid wideness? 1,6 m
Maximum Fuel in tank? 170 L
Unusable Fuel? 1,5 L
Yaw control failure IGE Land immediately, Lower collective slowly while rolling off throttle to reduce yawing nose to the right.
Yaw control failure in flight LASP adjust speed to 70-80 kts, appropriate landing space, cautious landing, prefer wind from the right.
Governor failure Hold twist grip, Switch Governor off, RegulateRPM, Continue flight.
EPM (Electronic Pilot Monitor), failure LASAP, switch to back-up, monitor carburettor heat manually, Cold at high power and Hot at low power.
Max RPM, power on? 540 RPM
Max RPM, power off? 610 RPM
Min RPM, power on? 515 RPM
Min RPM, power off? 450 RPM
High NR horn? 594 RPM
Low NR horn? 466 RPM
Oil sump capacity? 5.7 L (6 Q)
Minimum oil quantity for take off? 3.8 L (4 Q)
Power failure in hover, Left pedal, cushion landing, lower collective.
Power failure during take- off, Left pedal, aft cyclic to level helo, before 30 kts do NOT lower collective, if IAS above 30 kts slightly pitch up while lowering collective if needed to prevent climb, raise collective to cushion landing
Power failure in flight, Lower collective, pedals to control yaw, recommended 50 kts, manoeuvre into wind, flare, cushion landing.
Confined landing, during autorotation maintain 30 kts, landing spot between pedals,
Best glide ratio during autorotation 80 kts and 488 RPM
Engine fire procedure in flight Cabin heat off, Autorotate, Fuel shut off valve off, Fuel pump off, etc etc
Engine fire on ground cabin heat off, fuel valve off, all switches off, etc etc
Electrical fire ALT off, Master Off, NR switch to back-up, if fire continues land immediately, if not ASAP.
Erratic Engine, rotor speed de-synchronisation Reduce power, Refer to to NR lights, Governor OFF, LASAP, limit power, conduct cautious landing.
MLI failure, detected by XXX indication on MLI Prevent overpower, continue flight, make cautious landing.
MLI degraded modes Continue flight, (one of the following parameters is lost: Engine speed, Throttle position, OAT, Ambient Air Pressure)
Loss of engine speed sensor, Detected by XXX
Continuous tone warns for? rotor speed approaches low speed limit. (<466 RPM)
Intermittent tone warns for? rotor speed approaches high speed limit. (>594 RPM)
short tone warns for? Low fuel.
Beeper warning warns the pilot in the following three situations. Loss of oil pressure, engine ignition hot with startup, prevent leaving Plasma on when leaving helo.
CHT parameter in red arc corrective action: reduce power, if indication stays LASAP. CHT
Oil T parameter in red arc corrective action: reduce power, if indication stays LASAP. Oil T
Oil P parameter in high red arc corrective action: reduce power, if indication stays LASAP. Oil P high red arc.
Oil P parameter in high yellow arc corrective action: reduce power, if indication stays LASAP. Oil P high yellow arc.
Oil P parameter in low yellow arc corrective action: Normal at idle, in flight clutch light should light soon after. Then reduce power until light is off, if continuous reduce IAS 50 kts LASAP, prepare for autorotation.
Oil P parameter in low red arc corrective action: LASAP, if OIL P light comes on Land Immediately
Fuel P parameter in high red arc corrective action: swich boost pump off, check decrease, LASAP
Fuel P parameter in low red arc corrective action: check if boost pump is on, reduce power and reach IAS 50 kts, LASAP
Low Fuel parameter display in Red action: check with Low Fuel warning light, if on Land Immediately
Batt Charge parameter in Yellow action: Check ALT ON. Turn all non essential equipment off. LASAP
CO amber alarm action: Cabin heat off, open vents, in hover change heading, if symptoms of CO poisoning Land Immediately
MGB/TGB chips amber alarm action: If alarm is accompanied by any indication, Land Immediately, if not LASAP
If starter light stays on: Immediately pull mixture OFF and then switch Master off.
Governor off light on or blinking action: Governor off monitor RPM with twist grip.
Brake light on action: Disengage brake and lock.
MGB T light on corrective action: reduce power, if light is accompanied by any indication LASAP.
Airspeed for Take-off and climbs? 50 kts IAS
Airspeed for Best range 80 kts IAS
Airspeed in autorotation 50 kts IAS
Vne power on 130 kts IAS (-2 kts per 1000 ft)
Vne power off 110 kts IAS (-2 kts per 1000ft)
What is the maximum wind for rotor start-up and shut down? 40 kts
What kind of main rotor does the Cabri have? three bladed, fully articulated, soft in plane.
What kind of tail rotor does the Cabri have? Shrouded fenestron 7 bladed
