draw line (optical axis) through center of lens&label focal point that is on the opposite side of the lens as the object

draw ray parallel to optical axis from top of object to lens&then have it refract through focal point on right side of lens

draw 2nd ray from top of object passing through centre of lens, ray won't bend as it passes through lens

if rays converge on the right side of lens, where they cross will indicate the top of inverted image

if rays diverge on the right side of lens (happens when object is less than 1 focal length from lens), extend them back with dotted lines&where they cross will be top of image
