Perimeter The distance around a two-dimensional shape.
Area The amount of space inside the boundary of a flat (2-dimensional) object.
Rectangle A 4-sided flat shape with straight sides where all interior angles are right angles (90°).
Base The surface a solid object stands on, or the bottom line of a shape such as a triangle or rectangle.
Centimetre Meaning one hundredth (1/100) of a metre.
Metre The basic unit of length (or distance) in the Metric System.
Millimetre A Metric unit of length, meaning 1/1000th of a metre.
Kilometre A Metric measure of distance. Equal to 1,000 meters.
Height The vertical distance from top to bottom
Width The distance from side to side.
