Negative A number less than zero
Positive A number greater than zero
Factor A whole number that divides exactly into another number
Multiple A number from a given times-table
Prime A number that can only be divided by itself and one
Consecutive Numbers that follow each other in a sequence
Infinite Unable to be counted or unlimited
Sequence An ordered list of numbers or shapes that follow a pattern or rule
Term One of the items in a sequence
Generate Find the next term
Scatter graph A diagram to show a relationship between two variables
Correlation Describes the connection between two sets of data
Relationship A link between two things
Primary data Data you collect first hand
Secondary data Data someone else has collected
Discrete data Can only take certain values (counted data)
Continuous data Can take any value (measured data)

Census Collect data from the entire population
Data Facts, numbers or measurements collected
Fraction A part of a number or whole
Mixed number A number with a whole and a fraction part
Unit fraction A fraction with a numerator of one
Numerator Number on the top of a fraction
