Lampoon | A piece of writing, a cartoon, etc. that publicly mocks or makes fun of a well-known person or thing. |

Repose | To lay to rest. |
Rescind | To end officially. To make something no longer valid. |
Surmount | To deal with a difficulty successfully. |
Vicariously | Experienced or felt by watching, hearing about, or reading about someone else rather than doing it yourself. |
Vindicate | To show that someone should not be blamed for a crime. |
Wan | Looking sick or pale. Having a weak quality. |
Yen | A strong desire or prosperity. |
