percent A ratio that compares a number to 100.
decimal a number written in the base-10 system.
fraction a number that shows the relationship between a part and a whole.
ratio a comparison of two quantities by division.
denominator the bottom part(number) in a fraction.
numerator the top part (number) in a fraction.
simplest form when the top and bottom cannot be any smaller (while still being whole numbers). To divide the top and bottom by the highest number that can divide into both numbers exactly.
mixed number is a whole number and a fraction combined into one.
equivalent equal in value.
decimal point a point that separates the ones place from tenths, hundredths, etc.
