What is Factoring? Breaking down a number into smaller numbers that can be multiplied together to get the original number.
What is a Prime Number? A whole number that has exactly two factors: 1 and itself
What are factors of 9? 3x3, 1x3
Is 12 prime or composite? Composite
What is a Composite Number? A whole number that can be broken down into two or more factors.
Is 11 prime or composite? Prime
What is the divisibility rule for 2? Last digit is 0, 2, 4, 6, 8
What is the divisibility rule for 3? The sum of the digits must be divisible by 3.
What is the divisibility rule for 4? The last two digits must be divisible by 4.
What is the divisibility rule for 8? The last three digits must be divisible by 8.
What is the divisibility rule for 10? The last digit must be 0.
What is the divisibility rule for 9? The sum of the digits must be divisible by 9.
What is the divisibility rule for 6? The rules for 2 and 3 apply, the number has to be even.
What is GCF? Greatest Common Factor is the largest factor shared by two numbers.
What is the GCF of 4 and 16? 4
What is the GCF of 25 and 50? 25
What is the LCM? Least Common Multiple - the smallest number that is a multiple of both.
Is the LCM larger or smaller than the 2 numbers being compared? Larger
Is the GCF larger or smaller than the 2 numbers being compared? Smaller
What is the LCM of 25 and 75? 25
What is the LCM of 120 and 40? 40
What is the LCM of 3 and 4? 12
What is the LCM of 5 and 6? 30
