Graphing and Probability

data Pieces of collected information.
survey Collecting information by asking many people the same question and recording their answers.
tally chart A way to record data.
tally mark A mark used to record data on a tally chart.
pictograph A way to show data by using pictures or symbols.
key The part of a pictograph that explains what each picture represents.
bar graph A graph that uses bars to compare information.
scale The numbers that show the units on a graph.
likely (event) An event that will probably happen.
unlikely (event) An event that will probably not happen.
certain (event) An event that is sure to happen.
impossible (event) An event that will neven happen.
outcome A possible result of a game or experiment.
equally likely (outcomes) Outcomes that have the same chance of happening.
more likely (outcomes) An outcome that has a greater chance of happening.
less likely (outcome) An outcome that has a lesser chance of happening.
