| homonym | (verb) A word pronounced the same as another but having a different meaning, whether spelled the same way or not; also known as a homophone or homograph. |
| narrator | (noun) The person who tells a story. |
| prefix | (noun) A part of a word placed at the front of a word to create new meaning. |
| protagonist | (noun) The lead character or hero in a work of art. |
| suffix | (noun) A part of a word placed at the end of a word to create new meaning. |
