if client is unable to move around the environment and see the chair to sit down.. what nerve? optic
look at clients while they answer questions and observe the movement of the eyes.. if they move equally from side to side, up and down, and obliquely, this indicates function of what nerve? oculomotor, trochlear, and abducens
if the eyes blinkd, this indicates a function of what nerve? trigeminal
if the client's face is symmetric when he talks, this indicates the function of what nerve? facial
if the client can hear the examiner, this indicates the function of what nerve? acoustic
in observing clients walking in the room, note if they maintain balance. this indicates function of what nerve? acoustic
if th enurse observes the clients swallow their saliva, this indicates the function of what nerves? glossopharyngeal and vagus
hearing the clients' gutteral speech sounds indicates a function of what nerve? vagus
if the cilents shrug their shoulders or turn their head during the interview, this indicates function of what nerve? spinal accessory
if the cilents can enuciate words, this indicates functions of the tongue and what nerve? hypoglossal
