Figurative language | Imaginative language that is not meant to be interpreted literally. |
alliteration | the repetition of consonant sounds at the beginnings of words that are close together. |
static character | remains the same. |
dynamic character | changes from the beginning to the end. |
protagonist | the main character. |
antagonist | an opponent or is against another. |
symbolism | is the use of symbols in a literary work. |
consequence | the effect, result, or outcome of something occurring earlier. |
myth | a traditional story that explains the actions of gods or heros or the origins of the elements of nature. |
theme | the central idea, message, or purpose of a literary work. |
