Amiodarone / Cordarone 450mg/250ml D5W antiarrhythmic Use: SVT Contraindication: Bradycardia, Cardogenic Shock Adverse Reactions: Hypotension, Bradycardia Bolus: 150mg/100ml D5W over 10 minutes Drip: 1mg/min x 6 hours then 0.5mg/min x 18 hours Max: 2.2 grams in 24 hours
Angiomax / Bivalirudin 250mg/50ml Direct Thrombin Inhibitor Contraindication: Active Major Bleeding Adverse Reactions: Bleeding, bradycardia Drip: 1.75mg/kg/hr for up to 4 hours

Reopro / Abciximab 9mg/250ml Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitor Use: ACS, PCI Contraindications: GI bleed in last 6 weeks, HTN Adverse Reaction: bleeding, thrombocytopenia Dose: varies
Succinylcholine / anectine Neuromuscular blocker Use: assist with mechanical ventilation, facilitation of intubation Contraindication: burn, trauma, glaucoma Adverse Reaction: bradycardia, hyperkalemai Dose: 0.3-1.1 mg/kg IVP *administer sedative first
Versed / Midazolam 25mg/250ml Benzodiazepine Use: anxiety, sedation, seizure Contraindication: glaucoma Adverse Reaction: hypotension, dizziness, respiratory depression IVP: 1-2mg every hour PRN Drip: max 0.2mg/kg/hr
Zemuron / Rocuronium Neuromuscular blocker Use: facilitate with intubation, assist with mechanical ventilation Contraindication: hepatic disease Adverse Reaction: hypertension, hypotension, tachycardia, hiccups, nausea Dose: 0.1-0.2 mg/kg *administer sedative first
