Word Types
Nouns | A noun is referring to a person, place or thing. E.G Sky is going to her boyfriend’s house today. |
Pronouns | A pronoun is a word that replaces a noun. E.G I will see you tomorrow. |
Verbs | A verb is a doing word. E.G I will go running today. |
Adverbs | An adverb describes a verb, an adjective, and it can also describe another adverb. E.G Today I was being extremely carful |
Adjectives | An adjective describes a noun or pronoun. E.G You’re really smart. |
Preposition | comes before a noun or pronoun. E.G I went with my friend |
Conjunction | Join two words or sentences. E.G I went to the shop and brought apples. |
Interjections | are words which express emotion or surprise E.G WOW! |
