Connector A Lines shape that is attached to and moves with other shapes.
Distribute To divide or evenly spread selected shapes over a given area.

Flip To reverse the direction an object faces.
Flow chart An illustration showing the sequence of a project or plan containing steps.
Freeform shape A shape that combines both curved and straight-line segments.
Gradient fill A fill that contains a blend of two or more colors or shades.
Grid A set of interesting lines used to align objects.
Group A subset of a tab that organizes similar tasks together; to combine two or more objects.
Guide A straight nonprinting horizontal or vertical line used to align objects.
Infographic Information graphic that is a visual representation of data or knowledge.
Line weight The width or thickness of a shape's outline.
Lock Drawing Mode Enables the creation of multiple shapes of the same type.
Marquee A pane designed to help select objects from a listing of all objects on a slide.
Opaque A solid fill, one with no transparency.
Picture fill Inserts an image from a file into a shape.
Point The smallest unit of measurement in typography.
Quick Style A combination of formatting options that can be applied to a shape or graphic.
Rotate To move an object around its axis.
Selection net A pane designed to help select objects from a listing of all objects on a slide.
Selection Pane A pane designed to help select objects.
Shape A geometric or non-geometric object, such as a rectangle or an arrow, used to create an illustration or highlight information.
SmartArt A diagram that presents information visually to effectively communicate a message.
Smartguide A dotted line that appears automatically to assist with lining up images or text.
Stacking order The order of objects placed on top of one another.
Text box A object that provides space fro text and graphics; it can be formatted with a border, shading, and other characteristics.

Texture fill Inserts a texture such as canvas, denim, marble, or cork into a shape.
Transparency The visibility of fill.
Ungroup To break a combined grouped object into individual objects.
Vector graphic An object-oriented graphic that is math-based.
Vertex The point where a curve ends or the point where two line segments meet in a shape.
WordArt A feature that modifies text to include special effects, such as color, shadow, gradient, and 3-D appearance.
