El Nino | Caused by the combination of temperature, wind, and water. Formed when cold winds from the North are weak. Pacific Ocean gets warmer. Happens every three years. |
La Nina | Eastern winds become strong and the opposite of El Nino occurs, Pacific Ocean gets cooler. |
Dry Climate | Dry to partially dry areas with little to no rain; temperatures can range from very cold to very hot |
Typhoon | The name for hurricanes in Asia |
Tropics | A low latitude region between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn |
Monsoon | A seasonal wind that blows over a continent for a long period of time |
Weather | Unpredictable changes in the air that takes place in a short period of time |
