ligand gated ion channels in the SNS and PNS nicotinic
nicotinic receptors in the SNS and PNS ganglia are.. .type I sites
nicotinic receptors in the skeletal muscles are... type II sites
M1 receptors found in.. ANS ganglia, brain, gastric, parietal, vascular smooth muscle

these receptors stimulate phospholipase C, which produces IP3 and DAG, which then results in increased intracelluilar calcium M1,M3, M5
these receptors inhibit adenylate cyclase, resultin gin decreased cAMP. this causes potassium efflux and sodium influx. M2, M4
what are the adrenergic receptors? alpha, beta
adreneergic receptor that stimulates adenylate cyclase, yielding cAMP beta
adrenergic receptor stimulating PLC,yielding high DAG, IP3, this resultsin activatd protein kinase C and high calcium alpha 1
inhibits adenylate cyclase, yielding low cAMP alpha 2
