How is food moved along the digestive system? it is squeezed and spurted: peristalsis - waves of smooth muscle contractions that squeeze food through digestive tract
Give an example of chemical digesetion In the mouth saliva changes starch into sugar
Describe how starch is broken down in the mouth? saliva contains amylase and enzymes to break down starch into sugar
