Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) Stimulant Treats: ADHD, narcolepsy. May slow growth in children. Raynaud phenomenon, poor blood circulation.
Thioridazine (Mellaril) Anti-psychotic Treats: schizophrenia, prevent suicide, reduce aggression, severe depression, anxiety. Only used when other psych meds do not. causes tardive dyskinesia.
Haloperidol (Haldol) Anti-psychotic Treats: mental/mood disorders, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, nausea, vomitting due to cancer. Dizziness, drowsiness, difficulty urinating, sleeplessness, headache, anxiety, tardive dyskinesia, NMS.
Olanzapine (Zyprexa) Atypical Anti-psychotic Treats: mental/mood disorders, bipolar, schizophrenia Increased risk of stoke, heart failure, pneumonia, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, constipation, weight gain.
Risperidone (Risperdal) Atypical Anti-psychotic Treats: mental/mood disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar, agitation rt autism, dementia rt behav problems raised blood sugar, tardive dyskinesia, seizures, neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
Clozaril (Clozapine) Atypical Anti-psychotic Treats: schizophrenia, mental/mood disorders. Med only used when no other meds work. can cause immune problems, seizures, inflammation of heart, drop in BP.
Sertraline (Zoloft) SSRI Treats: depression, panic attacks, OCD, PTSD, social phobia, PMS. Nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, sweating, sleeplessness. Can not mix with MAOI's or NSAID's
Methylphenidate (Ritalin) Stimulant Treats: ADHD, narcolepsy. Misuse can cause heart/BP issues, is habit forming. Nervousness, trouble sleeping, weight loss, nausea. MAOI's can cause fatal interactions.
Dextroamphetamine (Adderall) Stimulant Treats: ADHD, narcolepsy. Misuse can cause heart conditions, can be habit forming. weight loss, dry mouth, nausea, trouble sleeping.
Clonazepam (Klonopin) Benzodiazepine Treats: seizures, panic, anxiety. Suicidal ideations, confusion, depression, drowsiness, fever, increased saliva.
Valproic Acid (Depakote) Anti-convulsant mood stabilizer Treats: epilepsy, mood disorders, prevent migraine headaches. Headaches, fever.
