Acute | An angle measuring between 0 and 90 degrees. |
Right | An angle measuring exactly 90 degrees |
Obtuse | An angle measuring between 90 and 180 degrees. |
Straight | An angle measuring exactly 180 degrees. |
Complementary | 2 angles whose sum measures 90 degrees |
Supplementary | 2 angles whose sum measures 180 degrees |
Adjacent | 2 angles that share a common side and a common vertex |
Vertical | 2 angles formed by intersecting lines. The two angles are opposite each other and equal to each other. |
Parallel | Two straight lines that do not intersect. |
Perpendicular | Two lines that intersect at a right angle. |
180 degrees | The sum of the angle measurements of a triangle. |
Triangle | A closed shape with 3 sides and 3 angles. |
Acute Triangle | A triangle with 3 acute angles |
Right Triangle | A triangle with ONE right angle |
Obtuse Triangle | A triangle with an obtuse angle. |
Equilateral Triangle | A triangle with 3 equal length sides. |
Isosceles Triangle | A triangle with 2 equal length sides. |
Scalene Triangle | A triangle with no equal length sides. |
