Opening I Dalton J Chmelik commit to making Health and safety a Personal Value by demonstrating leadership in Health, wellness, and safety in the following ways:
1. I am personally responsible for creating an environment that supports Safe by Choice, not by chance.
2. I will not turn the other way when I see an at-risk condition, work process, or behavior
3. I will commit to providing quality safety awareness/prevention training in an on going effort to teach my fellow employees the methods that will help keep them safe.
4. I will commit to ensuring compliance with government regulations in my operation.
5. I will regularly conduct observations in my work area by. A) Provide positive feedback when my fellow employees use safe work methods. B) provide constructing coaching to and obtain feedback from fellow employees observed using at risk
6 I will ensure that all injuries and auto accidents that I am made aware of are reported immediately and help investigate each occurrence immediately and thoroughly
6A I will involve the employee and all those necessary to evaluate all of the factors so that the employee and others understand the root causes.
6.B I will reduce the risks that are under my control and evaluate risks that are not under my control to the appropriate level.
7. I will ensure that my fellow CHSP members are given the appropriate amount of time to perform activities.
7a I will help celebrate wellness and health and safety achievements and recognize safe behaviors.
8 I will encourage each employee to make health, wellness, and safety a personal value for themselves, their families and their coworkers
9. I will encourage all employees in my work area to avoid any in vehicle distractions even if no distracted driving legislation has been enacted
