Med Word Building - Root Words - Introduction

What is the most extensive category of word parts? Root words (more accurately, combining forms)
What do you do when you see an unfamiliar word? Look up the definition.
What tool do many online dictionaries have? Pronunciation tools. You can listen to the word being pronounced.
What is important for an MTE to recognize and then do? Recognize a root word. Then combine it correctly with another combining form or word part.
Should an MTE know the exact meaning of every root word? Not technically. But it is necessary that you be able to recognize and spell it correctly.
