| advocate | someone who intercedes on our behalf, someone who speaks for us, someone who even defends us. And advocate comforts and teaches. The Holy Spirit is our Advocate. |

| Anointing with Sacred Chrism | Sponsor stands near the candidate & places a hand of the candidate's shoulder.this shows the support and guidance of the sponsor & the ongoing care of the whole parish for those who are being confirmed.Priest says be sealed with Gift of the Holy Spirit. |

| Liturgy of the Eucharist | newly confirmed join with the assembled to continue to worship God by sharing in the gift of Jesus in the Eucharist |
