Certified planners can not perform work on a project for a client or employer if, in addition to the agreed upon compensation there is a possibility for direct personal or financial gain to us, our family members, or persons living in our household unless The client or employer, after full written disclosure from the planner, consents in writing to the arrangement.
As salaried employee, can a certified planner undertake other employment in planning or a related profession, whether or not for pay? Only with full written disclosure to the primary employer and having received subsequent written permission unless our employer has a written policy, which expressly dispenses with a need to obtain such consent.
If the Ethics Committee determines that the Ethics Officer has demonstrated that the Rules of Conduct have been violated, it shall also determine the appropriate sanction (3 options): Reprimand, suspension, or expulsion.
Who can file a charge of misconduct against a Certified Planner? Any person, whether or not an AICP member
Is a planner who receives a charge of misconduct allowed legal representation? Yes, either when a prelimanry respsonse is requested or at any later point in the procedure.
