Flux whole system is always in motion, always changing and seems to be changing at a faster rate all the time
Deal with complexity (options) amplification (increasing the number of decision makers) or elimination (reduction of environmental input by not understanding the nuances in the environment…does not usually bring success)
Requisite variety need to employ managers that can handle, understand, interpret the complexity and process it
Tactic knowledge deep-rooted, face to face interactions that give important nuances of operations in particular cultural contexts
Selection (for global managers) looking for people not only with technical skills, but the ability to adapt when they get there…effectiveness= PAIS (professional expertise, adaptation, intercultural interaction, and situational readiness)
